The Beijing auto show, which will take place from April 23, 2012 through May 2, and promises to be one of the key automotive events of 2012, as China continues to be one of the biggest markets to post sales growth.
The show, which alternates with Shanghai, will open with two press days, followed by two trade days on April 25 and 26. The fair will open to the public on April 27 and will close its doors on May 2.
Auto China, as the fair is officially called, is the leading auto industry exhibition in China. It was established in 1990 and has grown to become one of the major international automotive gatherings on a par with Detroit, Geneva, Frankfurt and Paris.
The last time the show was held in Beijing – in 2010 – it attracted a record 785,600 visitors to its 220,000 square meters of exhibition area. The 2010 show featured 990 vehicles on display.
