RTT and Canon are joining forces to help companies speed up development times in the product design process.
RTT, a Germany-based 3d software specialist, said it has agreed with Canon, a Japanese maker of digital imaging hardware and software, to combine its RTT DeltaGen high-end 3d visualization software with Canon’s new Mreal mixed reality platform.
The combination of the two products will give designers and engineers higher quality virtual product design models, which should let them work faster.
The combination of the two products represents “a leap ahead of existing virtual reality systems that merely focus on computer-generated environments,” Peter Stevenson, CEO of RTT USA, said in a press release.
And Sam Yoshida, a senior Canon USA executive, added that the combination means “product designs can be brought to life with a complete new visual experience.”
