Germany’s T-Systems and VMware are joining forces to provide customers with an easier and faster way to access Cloud-based services.
T-Systems, the business services division of German telecommunications group Deutsche Telekom, will offer a new VMware vCloud Datacenter Service that allows customers to expand internal IT resources with T-Systems enabled Cloud capacity without major investments or cost.
VMware is responsible for the management and security of the software, while T-Systems contributes its expertise in the management of data centers and IT services.
Deutsche Telekom wants to strengthen its Cloud services offerings and is partnering with a range of technology providers to achieve its goals.
The new VMware vCloud services offering will be available from the autumn of this year.
Said T-Systems Cloud specialist Juergen Urbanski: “Companies will in future be able to move the content of their servers into the T-Systems Cloud at the touch of a button.”
US-based VMware is a major provider of virtualization and cloud infrastructure solutions. The company had 2011 sales of 3.77 billion dlrs.
