Automotive supplier Magna and simulation specialist Tesis Dynaware are combining their simulation products to provide a complete analysis of a car’s energy and thermal management.
The two companies are coupling Tesis Dynaware’s DYNA4 full vehicle simulation with Magna’s KULI thermal simulation product to create a comprehensive analysis tool.
They said the combined product will be especially useful to identify efficiency improvements in hybrid-electric and full electric vehicles.
In a press release, the companies cited the many interdependencies between the energy and heat flows that need to be considered when designing an efficient operating strategy for EVs.
DYNA4 offers simulations for mechanical and electrical components as well as a driver model for virtual test drivers. KULI provides the thermal components for the analysis of heating, cooling and climate control.
