AT&T is offering carmakers six new voice-enabled apps that will add features such as weather forecasts, parking updates and personalized radio to its its connected-car platform.
The US wireless company said the apps were developed byÂ AccuWeather, Glympse, iHeartRadio, Stitcher, Streetling and Tribune Digital Ventures.
“Each of these apps provides an enhanced in-car experience for users while also keeping driver safety top of mind,” Chris Penrose, senior vice president, emerging devices, at AT&T, said in a press statement.

AT&T also said its AT&T Drive Studio had signed a sponsorship agreement with TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. The pactÂ will improve the telecommunications company's navigation system development. The AT&T Drive Studio serves as a hub where the company specifically addresses theÂ needs of the auto industry.
