4flow is taking over a big part of the management and optimization of Johnson Controls' global logistics network.
The German company, a leading provider of supply chain consulting, software and network management services, has signed a five-year agreement with Johnson Controls Automotive Experience to manage European supplies of Johnson Controls plants in Brazil, China, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Africa, Taiwan and Thailand.
Around 400 JCI suppliers across Europe will channel components through 4flow's systems, which will consolidate all information and then supply plants on three continents. The project will supply more than 30 vehicle projects at JCI customers.
The tasks will be handled by 15 4flow employees in Antwerp, Belgium. They will manage the logistics chain, network and process optimization, transport planning and the purchasing of logistics services. In addition, they will oversee order processing, stock management, transportation organization and the management of transportation and storage service providers.
Said Marco vom Wege, general manager European Change Program at Johnson Controls: "By handing over this project to the optimization specialists 4flow, we can concentrate on our core competencies."
