Delphi has appointed Matthew Peterson senior vice president and chief information officer effective February 2.

Peterson, who was CIO of supplier TRW from 2009 until 2013, succeeds Tim McCabe, who left Delphi last year.

Peterson joins the US based global automotive supplier from Deloitte Consulting, where he was a director in the  consultancy's consumer and industrial products and technology practices.

He began his career as a consultant with Ernst & Young and subsequently held various IT positions in consulting and other areas.

Peterson has an MBA degree from from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta.

Delphi also has a new CEO. Former chief financial officer Kevin Clark succeeded Rodney O'Neal, who retired March 1.
