Automotive World, which will focus on new automotive and connected-car technologies, will take place at the Tokyo "Big Site" conference venue January 14 through 16, 2015.

Billed as "Japan's largest exhibition and conference for automotive technology," the event consists of several dedicated fairs. Their focus is on: electric vehicles, connected cars, component processing technology, weight reduction and automotive electronics.

Automotive World also features a conference program that focuses on innovation in the car industry and has as keynote speakers  Volkswagen's head of electric/electronic development, Volkmar Tanneberger; Ford Motor Director John Sakioka; and Honda Senior Managing Officer Jiro Yamaguchi.

Also speaking at Automotive World is Soichiro Okudaira, senior managing officer of Toyota Motor, who will discuss the industry's sustainable mobility initiatives.

Parallel to Automotive World, Internepcon, Asia's largest electronics fair, and Lighting Japan, a specialized lighting exhibition, are taking place. Together, the three events were attended by more than 60,000 visitors the last time they were held in January, 2014. Automotive World saw 18,469 visitors.
