HP’s Oliver Bahns spoke at the automotiveDAY conference

HP, which expects strong growth in the Chinese car business, has established an"Automotive Center of Excellence" in Shanghai.

The facility, which employs 500 automotive experts, is set to capitalize on global automakers' expanding operations in China.

"China is clearly a major growth region and we want to strengthen our automotive expertise there," said Oliver Bahns, head of automotive operations at HP. "We think we can help European and American automakers with their further growth there, he told the automotiveDAY conference.

automotiveDAY, an annual conference organized by automotiveIT, gathered 400 IT experts during the CeBIT high-tech fair in Hannover this week.
