Bosch has redesigned the modular infotainment systems for Opel's Insignia, Astra and Meriva models.

The Germany-based automotive supplier said the new systems provide greater functionality and driving convenience.

The new infotainment unit, which will also be in the upcoming new Opel Zafira van, has a redesigned screen, better voice control and a range of new navigation features.

Navigation data for 30 countries throughout Europe are stored on an SD card, which also contains a digital travel guide.

Route guidance in the new navigation system can also recommend the most fuel-efficient route. Calculations take into account vehicle additions such as rooftop boxes and trailers.
