Telogis, a US based provider of location-based services, acquired most of Intergis, strengthening its position in the market for Cloud-based location products.
Intergis is a provider of routing, mobile resource and fleet management solutions for small and medium-sized businesses and Telogis said the product offerings of the two companies complement each other well.
“This new acquisition positions Telogis for substantial growth by allowing us to leverage our robust enterprise software platform into Intergis’ existing customer base of more than 2,000 fleets,” Dave Cozzens, chief executive officer of Telogis, said in a press release.
He added that Telogis’ focus on large companies combined with Intergis’ existing business with smaller enterprises “ensures a strong revenue stream and sure footing to pursue additional growth and expansion.”
This is the second acquisition by California-based Telogis in the last eight months. In July, 2010, the company bought Remote Dynamics, a large player in fleet management technology for the construction and heavy-lifting industries.
