Following the success of its automotiveDay conference at the CeBIT high-tech fair in Hanover, automotiveIT is hosting a one-day event covering in-car information technology in September.

The conference will focus on the major IT challenges and opportunities the auto industry has today. These include: electric mobility, car-to-car communication, traffic management, driver assistance and infotainment.

The carIT Kongress will take place during the Frankfurt auto show on Sept 22 and will feature a range of speakers from the automotive and IT industries. Confirmed speakers to date include BMW's top electronics executive, Elmar Frickenstein; Bharat Balasubramanian, head of Daimler's group research; and Juergen Leohold, head of Volkswagen group research.

In addition, Matthias Wissmann, president of the German automobile association (VDA), will address the event. The VDA, together with Germany's high-tech association BITKOM, are sponsors of the carIT Kongress.

The conference language will be German and a German-language brochure can be downloaded here.
