CeBIT 2013 will focus on how companies and institutions are increasingly sharing rather than owning knowledge, resources and experience.

The annual high-tech fair, the world's largest, will take place in Hanover March 5 - 9, 2013. The theme of the fair is "Shareconomy." In addition to sharing, the CeBIT exhibition halls and conferences will look at megatrends including mobility, cloud computing, big data, social media and the "internet of things."

But the move toward more shared resources will be the main focus at CeBIT 2013. "The trend was clear," said Frank Poerschmann, board member of Deutsche Messe, which organizes the fair. "Shareconomy is currently the hottest topic for business and society."

The organizers expect more than 200 companies to exhibit across eight halls at the Hanover fairgrounds. Partner country for the 2013 CeBIT fair will be Poland.
