Neusoft Corporation, a Chinese supplier of IT solutions and services, has joined the GENIVI alliance.
Neusoft, which has 16,000 employees worldwide, has 15 years of experience offering products to the automotive industry. It offers embedded-system services for in-vehicle infotainment and has products in the areas of car navigation, telematics and active safety. Neusoft also makes electronic control systems for cars.
GENIVIis an automotive and consumer electronics industry association driving the development and adoption of an open-source in-vehicle infotainment platform. The aim of the cooperation pact, which groups major automakers and suppliers, is to shorten shorten development cycles, speed up time-to-market and lower development costs for in-vehicle infotainment hardware and software.
Last month, Jaguar Land Rover and SAIC were the latest automakers to join the alliance.
Neusoft hopes that GENIVI membership will help it strengthen its position in the global marketplace for automotive electronics.
Earlier this year, the company announced a strategic partnership with US audio and infotainment group HarmanInternational to develop advanced automotive and consumer-electronics technologies.
