Klaus Straub, recently named CIO of the decade by CIO magazine, is leaving Audi, company sources say.
Straub, 47, is leaving the premium car division of Volkswagen Group of his own accord. Sources say he plans to join another, unnamed automaker.
The Audi CIO succeeded Klaus Hardy Muehleck when the latter moved to Volkswagen to take up the top IT job at Audi's parent company.
VW announced last week that Muehleck was also leaving his post as CIO there.
