Japanese automotive supplier Denso, Korean components maker Mobis and management consultancy Accenture have joined the GENIVI alliance, the association said in a press release.

GENIVI is an association of automotive and electronics companies that drives the development and adoption of an open in-vehicle infotainment reference platform. The group hopes that further standardization of in-car infotainment will make it possible to bring new products to market ”“ and into the car ”“ faster and at a lower cost.

The association said that, in addition to its core new members, 12 associate members have also joined the alliance. These are: AutoNavi Software Company, Ltd.; Bertrandt Ingenieurbüro GmbH; CSR Technology, Inc.; Kanrikogaku Kenkyusho Ltd.; Mahindra Satyam; Network Systems & Technologies Ltd.; novero GmbH; Peiker Acustic GmbH & Co. KG; Pi Shurlok; Qualcomm Inc.; Rightware Oy, Segula Technologies Automotive.

The group's membership now totals 112 companies.
