Hans-Georg Frischkorn will take charge of the automotive business of Germany's ESG January 1, 2012.
The systems and software provider said Frischkorn, currently a managing director at Germany's auto industry association, the VDA, will succeed Wolfgang Sczygiol, who is retiring.
ESG said Frischkorn brings strong expertise in automotive electronics to the group. He has held senior positions at carmakers BMW and General Motors before joining the VDA as MD responsible for technology and environment.
"We are certain that we've found the ideal manager to further expand our automotive business," ESG's co-CEOs, Gerhard Schempp and Goetz Graichen, said in a press release.
ESG specializes in the development, integration and management of complex electronic and IT systems and provides key services to the auto industry. The company employs more than 1,500 staff and has operations in Europe, North America and Asia.
