For the seventh consecutive year the World Standards Cooperation (WSC) is organizing the "Fully Networked Car" workshop during the Geneva auto show.

The workshop, which will take place in Geneva March 7 and 8, 2012, provides a venue for car companies and standards makers to meet and discuss the car of the future.

The WSC is a partnership that includes the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and the International Union of Telecommunication (ITU).

In the 2012 session representatives from the three organizations will discuss with auto industry executives the needs and priorities for international standards for car connectivity. The group also plans to focus on electric vehicles, intelligent transport systems and new safety initiatives.
