HP announced a suite of new Cloud-based products and services that it said will address industry concerns about security, performance and availability.

The California-based IT group said in a press release that Cloud computing has delivered benefits such as faster deployment of new services, reduction in IT headcount and a pay-as-you-go model. But it conceded that security, availability and ease of integration have not received enough attention.

The company said its new HP Hybrid Delivery solutions will provide “the benefits of enterprise-grade cloud computing, while meeting the specific needs of businesses and governments.”

New services offered by HP include a “private cloud as a service;” HP CloudSystem, which is an integrated system to provide services across various clouds; and HP CloudMaps, which enables new cloud services to be up and running quickly.
