Hyundai Motor Group said it signed a memorandum of understanding with German automotive supplier Robert Bosch to jointly develop powertrain electronic-control technology and infotainment systems.
The Korean automaker said the alliance aims to accelerate development of new powertrains and produce new IT products based on Hyundai technology and Bosch platforms.
“The alliance between leading automotive brands Hyundai Motor Group and Robert Bosch GmbH means an exciting future for our infotainment systems and our powertrains ”“ the heart of the vehicle,” said Hyun-Soon Lee, vice-chairman at Hyundai’s R&D Center .
Bosch has been a longtime supplier to Hyundai for decades. The two companies have worked on engine development for 20 years.
