The annual ITS World Congress, a global forum to discuss smart transportation strategies, will take place in Bordeaux, France, Oct 5 - 9.
The gathering, which brings together public and private transportation stakeholders, will have as its main theme:Â “Towards Intelligent Mobility ”“ Better Use of Space.”
The meeting's focus will be on the life-changing aspects of intelligent mobility. Participants will also discuss the benefits space technology can bring to intelligent transportation systems.
Intelligent transportation initiatives are accelerating as connected cars open up more possibilities to better integrate the car into urban traffic infrastructure. Auto industry executives are also taking a stronger interest because of the potential to adapt cars to changing consumer requirements.
Next to possible space-industry contributions, the Congress will look at multi-modal transportation, urban trends, sustainable mobility, automation and big data.
