SalesforceÂ stagesÂ its annual Dreamforce convention in San Francisco Sept. 15-18, expecting to bring together more than 100,000 people for its annual gettogether.
The cloud-based CRM company continues to grow rapidly. In the quarter ended April 30, the company boosted sales 21 pc to 1.51 billion dlrs. On an annualized basis, Salesforce expects this year to generate 7 billion dlrs in revenue.
Dreamforce, an annual forum for new product announcements as well as a showcase for Salesforce and partner software, also features keynote addresses from top politicians, business people and others. Last year, US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, former Vice President Al Gore and singer Neil Young addressed the gathering.
The convention also features industry sessions, including a special set of presentations and discussions focusing onÂ the automotive industry. Salesforce's automotive drive is led by former top Renault executive Patrick Pelata, whose vision is to improve the car industry's customer focus with the help of Salesforce software.
