sap logo.automotiveITSAP will focus on car connectivity and new IT opportunities for the car industry when it hosts its 13th annual Automotive Forum June 12 and 13 in Leipzig.

The German business software maker plans a two-day meeting that will feature several keynote addresses, customer reports, live demonstrations, an exhibition and a range of networking opportunities.

Among confirmed speakers are Continental's CIO, Elisabeth Hoeflich, and the automotive supplier's board member Helmut Matschi. Various key SAP executives will also address the gathering and a presentation is scheduled by Mark Gallagher, CEO of Irish racing group Status Grand Prix.

SAP says the goal of the two-day meeting is to deepen cooperation with customers, discuss how to optimize existing IT systems, find practical solutions for complex challenges and brainstorm about the strategic direcxtion of the auto industry.
