When Mazda shows its new CX-5 at the Los Angeles auto show later this month, the compact crossover SUV will feature a line-fitted navigation system from TomTom, the Dutch navigation systems group said.
TomTom said the integration marks the beginning of a new cooperation in North America with the Japanese carmaker.
The CX-5 will be available in the US, Canada and Mexico from February, 2012.
The TomTom system will be seamlessly integrated in the dashboard. It will come with an audio unit and feature an SD card that lets a driver update software, maps and other content via a home computer.
Any Mazda dealer will be able to fit the system, which has anexpanded driving view on a 5.8" color touch screen monitor, voice recognition and a range of other features.
