Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche and his counterpart at Renault, Carlos Ghosn, will be two of the featured speakers at the 2013 CAR Symposium, which will take place in Bochum January 29 and 30, 2013.

The CEOs will be joined by new Volvo Chief Hakan Samuelsson and by Elmar Degenhart, head of German automotive supplier Continental. All four will speak on the main conference day, January 29.

The annual conference, which is held for the 13th time in 2013, is hosted by Professor Ferdinand Dudenhoeffer, who heads the Center Automotive Research (CAR) of Duisburg-Essen University in western Germany.

Zetsche will discuss the 2020 outlook for the Daimler Group, while Ghosn will provide the "strategic roadmap" for the alliance of Renault and its Japanese partner Nissan.

In addition to their presentations, Samuelsson and Degenhart will engage in a 30-minute discussion on the subject of "Flexibility and the euro crisis."
