Oliver Zipse to become next CEO of BMW

Oliver Zipse, who has been in charge of BMW’s manufacturing operations since 2015, will become CEO of the German premium car group August 16.

Oliver Zipse takes over as head of the BMW Group at a time when the premium car maker needs to balance its dependence on high powered traditional models with the need to successfully make the transition to electric vehicles.
