Nissan Motor is introducing a new car retailing concept worldwide, as the Japanese brand responds to changing customer behavior.

The company said its Nissan Retail Concept will include a new dealership design, upgraded service processes and a novel digital environment.

“The relationship between dealers and customers is changing, with customers expecting a more digital and customized experience,” the carmaker’s global sales and marketing chief, Daniele Schillaci, said in a statement.

More than 400 dealers globally have already adopted the new concept and Nissan hopes to implement it at its more than 9,000 dealers in 2022.

In the upgraded dealerships, Nissan customers will be able to use a digital car configurator, while sales representatives use tablet computers to streamline service processes.
