Toyota Motor will show the second generation of the fuel cell-powered Mirai sedan at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. The car, which is set to go into production late next year, will have greater driving range, improved performance and an updated design.

The car, which is set to go into production late next year, will have greater driving range, improved performance and an updated design. The launch comes at a time when opinions are divided over the viability of fuel-cell-powered passenger cars. Volkswagen Group, for example, has said its focus in coming years will be fully on battery-electric vehicles.
