Renault is conducting a test in Paris of an on-demand car service using two autonomous electric vehicles. The French carmaker is also teaming up with driverless-car specialist Waymo to explore the possibility of driverless transportation to and from the main Paris airport.

Renault is conducting a test in Paris of an on-demand car service using two autonomous electric vehicles. The French carmaker is also teaming up with driverless-car specialist Waymo to explore the possibility of driverless transportation to and from the main Paris airport. Renault said the test at the Paris-Saclay urban campus southeast of France’s capital will provide insights into how a panel of around 100 users accepts and adopts such a service for daily journeys.
