Pieter Nota joined BMW in 2018 after a career spent mainly in fast-moving consumer goods and electronics, including 15 years in marketing for Unilever, and later senior roles at health technology firm Royal Philips, a division of electronics giant Philips. The Dutch executive has brought this experience in rapid consumer response and data to BMW’s board – and he sees customer data and connectivity as central to the group’s future mobility strategy.

In April, Pieter Nota added to his role board-level responsibility for customer experience, as well as for group brands beyond BMW.
